Shadow Stars: The Ventrui Belt

This was the first official game of Spellcaster Studios, my own game development company, to be sold through the Internet only.

It was an arcade full 3d space dogfight game and it won a 2006 'Most Involved Plot' Game Award from the (now defunct) Bytten indie game blog.

It was made in C++ with DirectX 9.0c using the in-house 'Spellbook' engine, with full fixed-function pipeline support, as well as programmable shaders to implement effects like glows and particle lighting.

I was responsible for designing, writing, programming and directing the whole game.
