Ant Swarm

Ant Swarm” was a game born in a Ludum Dare 48-hour competition. It has a nice gameplay interface, in which the player “drew” a pheromone trail for the ants to follow and had to pick up leaves to fill his anthills and fight other ants and hazards.

Unfortunately, although the game “felt” great, we never could make it actually fun and we ended up giving up on the idea.

It was programmed in C++. Here I was responsible for the creative direction (so I failed) and the core technology.

Another colleague developed the actual gameplay on top of the Spellbook engine.
